• US blockade: Iran’s military has threatened shipping in the Red Sea if the US continues its blockade of Iranian ports, after US Central Command said the blockade has “completely halted” Iran’s economic sea trade.

• Israel-Lebanon talks: Israel’s security cabinet will discuss a possible ceasefire with Lebanon today, according to an Israeli source. Despite the first day of talks, Israel and Hezbollah have continued to exchange fire, and residents in southern Lebanon were warned today to evacuate.


• US-Iran talks: A key Pakistani mediator between the US and Iran arrived in Tehran with a message from Washington, the country’s military said. He will discuss “issues related to the second round of negotiations,” state media reported.

• Strait of Hormuz: US President Donald Trump said China is “very happy” the US is working to open the Strait of Hormuz and that it has agreed to not send weapons to Iran.
